NEW YORK Cast Perspectives (Part II)

If you were around on September 11, 2001, chances are you were affected by the tragic events of the World Trade Center in New York City, The Pentagon in Washington, DC, and a field in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Our cast takes a moment to talk about their own, personal experiences on that fateful day.

Cast Announcement for NEW YORK

Just Off Broadway is pleased to be presenting the Baltimore premiere of NEW YORK by David Rimmer, look into the aftermath of the attacks of September 11 and how folks dealt with the events, personally. Casting has been completed and rehearsals are underway for this production which will run at Just Off Broadway @ JELC (Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church) from May 11 – May 20.

The attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 affected people in very different ways. Still, nearly 17 years later, the images, sounds, and feelings are still pulling at many of us. NEW YORK depicts the reactions of 15 individuals to the events of that day as all the characters all speak to a central psychiatrist. Using a setting that immerses the audience completely, we hope to help in the healing process whether your just beginning the journey, are in the middle of it, or toward acceptance of what happened that fateful day.

David Rimmer, a Pulitzer Prize finalist author for Album, originally wrote New York to raise funds for volunteer psychiatrists dedicated to helping the overwhelming number of patients psychologically affected by 9/11.

NEW YORK is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.
